Determining Whether A Sound Card Is Installed

You can easily determine whether a sound card is installed, by using the following function.

Private Declare Function waveOutGetNumDevs Lib "winmm" () As Long

Public Function IsSoundCard() As Boolean
If waveOutGetNumDevs() > 0 Then IsSoundCard = True
End Function

True is returned if a sound card is installed and false if not.
